About Us

Hi! My name is Gerri, I grew up in Louisiana during my early childhood and Southern Illinois in my teens, and have been living life as a Texan since 2011. I’m a single mom of three boys, and if you read the post The Adventure Begins, you’ll find out how this blog started, originally as Honey Seeking Mom, & where that name came from.

You will also find lots of writings here from my friend Renee, under the tab Kingdom Seeking, as she was my partner on this site for a couple of years. God has called her in a new direction for ministry, but she will still have some guest posts here from time to time.

God has grown in me a desire and passion to encourage and equip others, especially other single mommas, to know who they are, In Christ, and to live a God-first life, just as He used the church family He planted me in to do. I’m excited for where this journey in following His lead by faith will take us!
